In an average year I'm on the water at least 250 days. We have outstanding open water and ice fishing in the La Crosse area. If you want to schedule your trip around the hot bite come in late March to early May for hot spring time walleye action, May and June for northerns and catfish July for muskies, August through October for walleyes, and from December into early March for big panfish, northerns and bass.
